Ixora plant is a valuable outdoor flowering plant.
- Ixora Coccinea plant is an ornamental small bushy shrub, which are native to Southeast Asia. This evergreen shrub usually grows in the range of 1.5 to 3 m tall. They start to blossom at even a young stage. They are perfect for tropical areas, but could be grown in some warm conditions. These Ixora plants are characterized by growing into a rounded form, with dark green leaves and flowers that blooms with 4 red petals in wide cymes. Followed by fruits which are round and of dark purple to black in colour. They are easy to care for and have a small amount of tolerance towards shades from afternoon heat. The soil on which they are supposed to be planted must be well-drained and its temperature must be kept above 15.5 degree Celsius. In terms of feeding, use organic fertilizers to ensure their healthy growth.
